"Yer Tiz" - Chickerell history

It would be nice to share some photographs on the website of locations or buildings that no longer exist.

If you have any photos that you would like to share with the community, then please contact us at society.chickerell@gmail.com

In 1995 Chickerell Parish Council published a book on the history of the Parish called

Chickerell "Yer Tiz"

The A5 book has a lot of information taken from The Contact magazine, and I think was compiled by John Dean.

The book was published by Chickerell Town Council. I am advised that they have now sold all stock, and have no intention at this time to print any more.

Copies of the book are available to view at the Council offices, at Willowbed Hall on Putton Lane DT34AJ.  Telephone the town council on 01305 767458  or email townclerk@chickerell-tc.gov.uk

A copy of the book can also be viewed at Chickerell Library. Telephone Chickerell Library on 01305 760095. The Friends of Chickerell Library have a website at

https://chickerellcommunitylibrary.co.uk/

Part of the book's source is made up from snippets or articles published in the Contact Magazine.
